  • Integration of mobile phone interactions with the EIToolkit

The EIToolkit is a framework developed by the Embedded Interaction Research Group to be able to create a common communication base for several different components. This includes software like Winamp or the state in Skype as well as hardware components like the Particle microcontroller platform.

Example application: The integration of mobile phones into the tookit should enable quick application development like:

    • Use your phone to remote control applications.
    • Show reminders / events / etc. on your phone.
    • Use extended interaction methods (like gestures) for input
    • ...
    Task:
    • See what the EIToolkit offers and how it works.
    • Choose a way to communicate from a mobile phone to a PC (WLAN, Bluetooth, ...).
    • Design a way to connect the toolkit with mobile phone features.
  • Required skills: Basic programming in C++ or Java.
Will need to do: Basic mobile phone programming.
