Markus studied Software-Engineering at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. During his studies, he worked for 2 years at hcilab under the supervision of Albrecht Schmidt as a student assistant. In 2012, Markus wrote his Diploma-Thesis in cooperation with Lars Erik Holmquist at Yahoo!-Labs in Sunnyvale, CA, on a project about searching the real world using stationary and mobile object detection. After receiving his Diploma in December 2012, he joined the hcilab at the University of Stuttgart as a research associate. His research areas encompass Augmented Reality, Assistive systems for the workplace, and Internet of Things.
